Engineering chemistry is taught as a compulsory subject to first year UG students of all branches of engineering. The need of the student is diversified, and hence it incorporates a combination of both traditional topics and latest trends in the subject area including emerging areas. The engineering chemistry syllabi end list topics from all the branches of chemistry; viz, inorganic, physical, organic, and material science. Therefore, there is a need for a book that exclusively covers all the topics prescribed by the technical technological universities.
